Frequently asked questions

Should baby shower flowers go to the venue or the parent-to-be's home?

Either works. If sending to a venue, make sure someone will be there to receive them, and message us after ordering with any instructions. We can't guarantee a time of day, so many people send flowers to the host or the parent-to-be's home the day before the shower so they're ready to go.

What flowers make a good baby shower centrepiece?

Something that already sits in a vase saves the host a job on the day. The Celebration Blooms Vase (from $119) and Joyful Blushing Vase (from $109) look lovely on a party table. For a smaller table or side display, the Pastel Petals Box (from $79) is compact and soft.

Can flowers be my baby shower gift?

Yes, and a gift box combo makes it feel complete. The Choose Your Colour Posy + Gift Box (from $69) lets you match the shower theme, and the Create Your Own + Free Gift (from $89) includes a gift with the bouquet you design. You can also add chocolates or balloons from our add-ons.

What should I write on a baby shower card?

Celebrate the parent-to-be as much as the baby. Try "Wishing you all the best for the big arrival, you're going to be amazing", "So excited to meet your little one, enjoy your special day" or "Sorry I couldn't be there, sending love and hugs for you and bump".

How do I match flowers to the baby shower's colour theme?

Ask the host what palette they're using. For pink themes, Pink Princess (from $99) suits well; pastel themes pair with the Pastel Petals Box. If the theme is neutral, or the colour is a surprise, the Neutral Florist Choice Bouquet (from $69) keeps things open.

How much does it cost to deliver flowers to a baby shower?

Delivery is $14.95 across most of Auckland, $19.95 to the rest of the North Island and $29.95 to the South Island. Rural addresses pay the same as their area. If several guests' gifts are going to the same address in one order, you only pay one delivery charge. Saturday deliveries are available, but there's no delivery on Sundays.

Flowers that make a baby shower

Gift or decoration?

Baby shower flowers do one of two jobs: a gift for the parent-to-be, or a centrepiece for the party. For a gift, a posy with a box is easy to take home after the celebrations. The Petite Blossoms Posy + Gift Box (from $69) and Choose Your Colour Posy + Gift Box (from $69) are both popular. For the table, choose an arrangement that comes in a vase, like the Celebration Blooms Vase (from $119), so the host can set it down and get on with the day.

Plan around the party date

Many showers are held on a weekend. We deliver Monday to Saturday, so for a Sunday shower, send the flowers to the host on the Friday or Saturday before. For a venue delivery, confirm someone will be there to receive them and message us after ordering with any instructions. We can't promise a time of day, so arriving a day early is the stress-free option. Rural addresses are delivered Monday to Friday only.

  • Check the shower's colour theme with the host first.
  • Send group gifts in one order to one address for a single delivery charge.
  • Add balloons or chocolates from our add-ons.

From our studio to the shower

Each bouquet is hand-arranged to order in our Wairau Valley studio, wet-wrapped for the trip and photographed before it leaves, with the photo emailed to you. Every order includes a free printed card. If you can't make it to the shower, a photo printed on the card is a lovely way to be part of the day. Many bouquets come in Classic, Deluxe or Super-sized options if you want to make a bigger statement.
